Congratulations to Unitus Seed Fund investee Hippocampus Learning Centres for raising an additional $1.2 million from Lok Capital and Acumen Fund!

Earlier in 2012, Unitus Seed Fund made a seed investment in Hippocampus Learning Centres. This enabled HLC to start ramping up their expanded operations for the 2012/2013 school year including recruiting and training more learning centre teachers and finding and equipping classrooms in new villages.

This additional new investment capital from Lok and Acumen will enable HLC to expand their operations further over the coming years. We are excited about the potential for long-term poverty impact that HLC’s program will have on children living in families at the base of the economic pyramid.
